Elisabeth Krag Juel-Vind-Arenfeldt

1806 - 1884

Denmark

Elisabeth Krag Juel-Vind-Arenfeldt was a baroness, lived at Stensballegård near Horsens, and was encouraged by her friend Frantziska Carlsen to collect folklore and submit them to Svend Grundtvig, who oversaw the folklore collection at that time. She herself visited those who she knew could relate stories, wrote down what she heard, and created a network of female collectors.
